🎂 The Sweet Start: How Miss Veyve's Was Born
Â
Hello and welcome to my first post on the Miss Veyve's blog!
I'm Jennaveyve and today, I want to take you back to the beginning and share the very sweet origin story of Miss Veyve's.

Growing Up with Flour on My Hands
My baking journey started long before I ever dreamed of selling a single loaf of bread. I was just in my early pre-teens when I first discovered the absolute magic of turning simple ingredients into something delicious. It was an instant form of therapy.
Over the years, that childhood hobby became a passion, and that passion became my favorite way to show love. Cookies, cupcakes, loaves of bread, I baked them all, constantly experimenting and refining my recipes for my very willing taste-testers. Or what I call them, my incredible friends and family. There's really nothing better than that moment of seeing someone's eyes light up after the first bite of a treat you made just for them. I'm a bit of a gift-giver at heart, and for me, great food is the ultimate gift.

From Family Kitchen to Community Corner
So, how did "Jennaveyve's baking for fun" turn into "Miss Veyve's, the micro-bakery"?
The real turning point came from the kind of unexpected encouragement that can only come from family. My husband's family runs a wonderful local spot, Leeza's Cafe, and they've always been my biggest cheerleaders. They tasted my product, saw the dedication, and frankly, they decided the community deserved a slice of it.
"Jennaveyve," they said, "this is too good to keep to yourselves. You should be selling this!"
Their belief gave me the push I needed. Now, if you know anything about growing up in a small farm town like Saranac, you know that community isn't just a word, it's everything. It’s the foundation of how we live and work. So to take my passion and turn it into something to give back to those around me, well that's an incredible feeling.

Baking with Heart and Purpose
And that’s the why behind Miss Veyve's. It's more than just a business - it's an extension of my small-town spirit. It's about bringing joy, one baked item at a time, and connecting with people over something universally understood, really good food.
This blog is going to be a place to share that journey, the recipes, the lessons learned, and the little moments of magic in the kitchen. I want to show you how a lifetime of baking for love can translate into a business that still feels like home. I hope my experiences in the world of baking and cooking can inspire you, too, whether you're starting a business or just looking for a little more joy in your own kitchen.
Thank you for being here! I can't wait to share more with you.
